Some Sam Moments

Mommy had to record some Sam statements he has been making lately. He just cracks us all up.

-When we are in the car, he will yell out at the top of his lungs, "Be careful Daddy!". Similarly sometimes, he will yell out, "Beep the horn, Daddy!"

-When he wakes up if it is light out he will get out of his crib on his own now. He crawls over the side and shimmies down. He hasn't fallen yet, so Mommy & Daddy are waiting on the toddler bed, but we're sure it is only a matter of time.

-This morning when he woke up, it wasn't light out yet so he stood in his crib and yelled, "Wake Up, Mommy"...."Daddy, pwease?" (love how he says please)

Merry, Merry Christmas!

We have had some very Merry Christmases and some attempts at burning off some of our energy!

On the 21st, we took Daddy to Prairie Kids Club to show him the gymnastics place. It started out really well, but I quickly got VERY emotional and whiny so it didn't end as great.

Mommy got some pictures at the beginning though.

Sam requested to play with playdough on one of the days we got a bunch of snow. He played for probably about 2 hours! He had his little plastic knife so he was VERY happy that he could cut the playdough.

We celebrated Christmas with G&G Hyland and Amanda and Jay on the 23rd. Sam and I were both super excited...

I got so much cool stuff! Ninja turtles and a Scooby Doo Mystery Machine. I've had a lot of fun playing "guys".

Sam was really into opening presents this year. He wanted to keep going!

Sam got a sled, and the box G&G used to wrap it in was great fun to play in!

Sam had to try out his sled. He did not like that it had to ride in the back of the truck on the way home. We had to check it right away when we got home :)

Here's Amanda opening the otter we "adopted" for her.

Sam threw a mini-fit, but he seemed to be too tired to put much into it.

The annual picture in the chair in front of the tree. I loved my new Ninja Turtles shirt and had to wear it with the hood up! (I have worn it 3 times in the week since I got it).

Sam is still not very good at this picture taking on demand thing!

The attempt at both of us in the chair. Hmm, maybe next year!

Sam got an Angry Birds towel, and I got Skylanders! I was so excited to use them that the minute we got home from G&G's, I asked Mommy if we could take a bath. I am not one to request baths anymore so this was unusual!

Christmas Eve, we celebrated at G&G Rikli's. Sam was hamming it up as usual.

He heard a truck so he had to go look out the window.

Sam was the first to the table. He loved the Christmas punch!

I enjoyed relaxing on Daddy.

New Teen Titans game!

After G&G's, we headed back home since Santa had come to our house.

Sam got a new car! He is a bit overwhelmed by it and thinks it should go in the garage. Hopefully when Spring gets here and he can drive it outside, he will be warmed up to it. He did really like the trunk that it has. All of his stocking stuff, and some of mine, ended up in the trunk.

I got a Wii with the Skylanders game! It is so much fun!

Christmas Day we just hung out at home and played with our toys. I got a little pirate set that fits really well with my 2 Lego Star Wars guys that I got in my stocking.

Sam got a new "doe-doe". He really loves to fill up the gas tank!

On Friday when the weather was warmer, Mommy took Sam and I sledding (Daddy was hunting). She didn't realize how big the hill is that is near our house so she would have waited to bring Daddy if she had known. I went down by myself one time but was pretty scared. Sam and Mommy went down twice.

It wasn't all lost though. The hill is at a park so we just played on the playset for awhile after "sledding".

Friday night, I stayed at G&G Rikli's house so Mommy and Daddy took Sam to see the Olin park lights. He enjoyed them...notice he had to have his drill with him :)

We are hopefully going to attempt sledding again today (Saturday) since we get one more warm day before it gets really cold again. We are in search of a smaller hill today.

We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

School Program!..And Last Day of Gymnastics

This past week, I had my last week of Gymnastics and my program at school. The program at school almost didn't happen because we had freezing rain. All the schools around us were closed or delayed except for Sun Prairie, Waunakee and Madison. That meant we got to have our program!!

Can you see my red nose and tail? We had Rudolph noses taped on our faces. So cute!

You can see the noses a little better in this shot.

I got to stand by my friends. Landon is to the left of me, and Luke (my best friend is in the Santa hat and blue striped sweater). Liam is to the right of me.

We sang the Reindeer Pokey, a song about Hot Chocolate, a Hula Song and We Wish You a Merry Christmas!

Mommy came with me to my last day of gymnastics to get some pictures. We got to swing on the high bar, go on the big balance beam and do a vault-type thing. I had trouble with that one because you were supposed to jump on both feet, and I kept wanting to spring myself off of it with one foot. :)

I had a great time doing gymnastics again! Next up is trying soccer.

Brunch with Santa, Grandpa's Birthday and Sledding!

This past weekend, we had a busy day on Saturday. It was the annual Brunch with Santa at St. Victor's! Here I am waiting for brunch. It was yummy!

Sam was a little unsure of everything at first (hence the Nuk). By the time he got to the games though, Mommy was wishing he were a little more unsure!

Santa is walking through the room! Not sure what to think.

Love my face in this one. Santa, Mrs Claus and the elves were all walking right by me!

After eating, it was time for the games. I LOVE this part!

Sam really got into the games. Mommy was exhausted chasing him around. He loved this basketball game, and his form looks great, but he never even came close to hitting the basket :)

When we got back to G&G's it was time to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. Sam and I had to help with the cake. Sam is always the first to get there! He won't miss out on any food prep.

Singing to Grandpa. Sam was into the first part of the song, but then he decided the candles needed to be blown out before the song was officially over :)

Grandpa always lets me "help" open presents. I had to share that duty a bit more with Sam this year, but I dealt ok with that.

This was a funny card!

After birthday celebration, we had to take our first try at sledding for the season. There wasn't really much snow on the ground, but the sleds went the best they ever have for us. I had so much fun! Sam did too. When he got to the bottom of the hill, he would look at Grandma and say "mo".

Both of us were a little lazy climbing the hill. Sam wanted to be carried, and I wanted to leave the sled at the bottom of the hill and have someone else go get it. Mommy said Sam and I have to work on our sledding skills a bit!

Uncle Jay was awesome as usual. He pushed us down the hill and pulled us down the hill...even though he didn't even have any boots on.

Mommy, Sam and ME on the sled. This was a tight ride!

What a fun day! Sunday, I went to Sunday School, and then G&G Rikli came over for supper. It was a GREAT weekend!
