San Antonio Trip

Now on to our most exciting part of Christmas this year! We got to go to San Antonio to see Great Aunt Mary and Great Grandma, and even Great Cousin Amanda and Great Cousin Judd and Kate and Tracy. We had so many built-in playmates that Sam and I were in HEAVEN!

Here I am in the car on the way to the airport. I look pretty calm and collected, huh?

I've got my sucker all set to go so my ears don't get all stuffed up!

Waiting to take off!

Here I am on the second flight. Flying is a tiring thing! Sam and I did really well on the flights...much better than Mommy and Daddy anticipated we would. Sam slept on the first flight, and I slept on the second. I had a little trouble with my ears since I had never had that popping feeling before, but Daddy told me to pretend to yawn, and that worked!

Here we are in Great Aunt Mary's house. See how high we are? Sam LOVED the stairs. He did them literally HUNDREDS of times while we were there :)

We went to the Children's Museum in downtown San Antonio, and Sam and I both enjoyed that.

This is very Sam! Sprawled out, owning his space, with a dog next to him...

I got to drive a bulldozer. I had to dress up to really play the part!

Wow, David Robinson is tall!

Shopping at the grocery store. This is always one of my favorites at the Children's Museum.

Doing a science experiment with baking soda and vinegar. I got to make it pop!

At the Riverwalk...I am a big fan of maps so this picture is very appropriate.

The attempt at the family picture on the Riverwalk. Sam and I were MUCH too busy to pause to do something like this. Geesh Mom and Dad, what were you thinking?!

Daddy got me this mustache at the Taxidermy museum he went to. Looks pretty natural on me, huh?

Mommy and Daddy got some time ALONE at the Riverwalk so they could see the lights at night. They walked around a lot and enjoyed their adult time!

Christmas lights on the Riverwalk...

One morning we went to El Mercado (the Mexican Market). Daddy and I were being silly and Sam was in the middle of it all.

Sam also enjoyed the little rocker in Great Aunt Mary's house. He threw all the dolls on the floor (sorry Aunt Mary) and would climb up in it.

Had to show another favorite of Sam's...eating! He loved the cranberry relish and sweet potatoes (and of course cookies) and ate quite a bit while we were there.

This was one of my favorite things from the trip...Seaworld!

Ready for the first show to start!

The whales were amazing (even though they were kind of naughty part way through the show and had to take a break before they would start up again).

Pretending to lick a candy cane in the candy cane forest...

Another show!

Listening to the singers in the Candy Cane Forest. They came out by me, and I thought that was so silly!

Riding the train with Mommy...

At the lighting display before we left. Again, I was being pretty silly! Fun end to a fun day!

Pushing the bear around Great Aunt Mary's backyard. It was great because her yard was fenced in so I could go outside pretty much anytime I wanted to!

Here's Sam on the last morning in the hotel...so tired he was sleeping with his butt in the air!

The flights home went just as well as the flights there. All our flights were on time. Sam and I both slept one of the flights almost entirely and Sam slept half of the other flight as well.

A couple funny things from the trip were that I thought that Great Aunt Mary's house was actually Great Cousin Amanda's house. Amanda lives in New York so that was pretty funny, and I also thought that Great Cousin Judd was Amanda's Dad instead of her brother. Oh, the "Great Cousin" title was given by Aunt Mary, they are actually our first cousins once removed :)

Back at home, I had to play right away with all my Christmas toys that I had to leave behind while on vacation. Here I am with my Playmobil pool. I had to put my swim suit on in case I got wet...oh, and I think this was the coldest day of the winter so far!

The sillyness didn't end in Texas!

Dressed in my much too small Scooby Doo pajamas, and Sam's Christmas hat. I am the official Christmas HAM!
