Pool!

We had a pretty quiet, but fun weekend. Friday, Mommy and Daddy had to go to a wedding so we got to spend the day with G&G Hyland. What a blast! I had Tot Lot and then spent the rest of the day playing...It was a good day except I think G&G got to experience why Mommy and Daddy don't take us to restaurants anymore!

On Sunday, we got out the pool! Sam and I enjoyed ourselves. Sam came right from his nap, hence the Nuk! He can't get rid of that thing!

So Sam got cold (hard to believe on an 85 degree day) and had to go inside to get changed. About 5 minutes after coming back outside, he plopped in the water again, clothes and all! Apparently we need to put a shirt on this guy when he goes in the water and maybe that will keep him warmer!

Have a great week!

Father's Day Weekend

Sam and I (and hopefully Daddy) had a great Father's Day weekend. we spent a lot of time outside since it ended up being nice all weekend.

Our weekend really started on Friday when I got to start Tot Lot in Monroe and we stayed and played at G&G Hyland's house. We went out to dinner at "Mexico" and then as we were going back to G&G's we saw a lot of hot air balloons. It was the annual balloon rally, so we ended up seeing a lot of balloons up close, and Sam and I both REALLY enjoyed that.

Saturday, we had a Father's Day party, and sadly, Mommy didn't really get any pictures. We had all the family over for BBQ, and it was a great time!

After everyone left, I got to play with Matt and Allie. We had to come inside to cool off since it got kind of warm, and we had a dance party inside. (Ignore Mommy's laundry. She was trying to get something done while we were playing).

Sam got in on the dancing too (even though you can's see him behind the toy).

Sunday, we had a treasure hunt for Daddy. I helped hide clues and Daddy had to find them. He got to go to a movie, and we all went swimming at the Y and then had dinner. I thought this was a great idea! I had trouble keeping the surprise in (I told Mommy that I didn't know how much longer I could keep the surprise!), and then I told Daddy that we had a surprise and that we were going to the beach. I thought that was a good saying to keep him off track! Sam just tagged along for the ride.

Here's Daddy at his first find...breakfast on the porch!

Sam had to try out his new rain boots while we were on the porch. He LOVES to play in the mud so Mommy found these at a garage sale and knew they were perfect for him.

Brotherly love...

Helping Daddy with the next clue that he found at the computer...

While Daddy was at his movie, Mommy, Sam and I went to the park. We walked to see the little bridge and water they have. I love that walk because I always get to point out the duck and goose poop that is on the walk. Sam finds it very interesting when I do that. Mommy never seems amused...

Mommy found roller skates for me at the garage sale. I tried them out and did pretty well. Going downhill made me a little nervous though...

We had a great weekend!

Joey Update

This post is all about me! I had the first week of my summer stuff, and there is more to come! First up was T-ball! I am a pineapple. The first day we did some practice and drills. We were lucky it didn't get rained out, and I had to go right from bed to T-ball (it's at 9am and I slept in that day!), but I still had a fun time. The shorter blonde girl is Lauren from my school so I knew someone on my team.

Next up this week was fishing with Daddy and Grandpa Rikli. I had a wonderful time, and Daddy says I talked the whole time! I did catch 5 fish though!

Look at this one!

Waiting "patiently"...

Friday I started Tot Lot in Monroe and had a blast there. Then Daddy, Sam and I got to see the Hot Air Balloons with Grandma and Grandpa Hyland. We BOTH really liked that a lot!

The summer is off to a great start! Next week I start Curious George class and then the week after that, Tennis!

Happy Father's Day to all the fathers, especially my Daddy and Grandpas!

I'm Behind!

Sorry for the long delay between posts! I have been busy, busy, busy.

One night I was playing with Matthew and Allie, and Mommy, Daddy and Sam were eating supper. They saw this streak by the window. I was dressed as Scooby Doo. No one else had costumes on, but I was happy as a clam!

Sam in his bulldog pajamas giving Mommy his "smile" face...

One rainy weekend day, Sam and I played board games. First up, Don't Break the Ice. Sam needs to work on his skills a bit...

Another example of my love for costume dress up. Here I was trying to convince Matthew to put on the Captain America mask with his costume. Sam has a sweet spot for Allie and loves to play with her.

We joined the YMCA in Sun Prairie (at least for the summer). Sam and I love going to the pool. Sam especially likes the little fountains...

Jess Shaker graduated High School this year so we all went to the party. I played pretty much the whole time with a group of kids and a Cassie's fabulous College friend who played with us. I did not want to leave! Sam really enjoyed Terry's truck and sat and just stared at it and said a lot of "Vroom, vrooms".

They had a sand box that all of us kids enjoyed running up on and jumping and laying on! Sam was tired from all the fun!

Sam is a climber. He will climb pretty much everything, and doesn't have a whole lot of fear (unlike me!). This is one of his newest tricks. So far he miraculously hasn't tipped this over yet!
Last weekend Sam decided not to take a nap on Saturday so we went for a walk and signed up for the library program. When we got back, Sam sat on Mommy's lap for awhile and fell asleep. She laid him on the floor, and he kept sleeping for awhile like this! He NEVER does this.
Both Sam and I love to mow when Daddy is mowing. This time, Sam got ahold of the earmuffs Daddy uses. Isn't he a professional?
Taking a minute to wave at the camera...

Have a good week!
