Trains and future gardeners?

We had a great weekend again! On Saturday we went to a train show in Monroe with G&G and Uncle Jay. We all thought Sam would like it most, but although we both liked it, I was so excited about everything and especially about playing with the table of Thomas stuff they had set up.

The boys at the table were so nice to me and helped me figure everything out!

Sam was a tad short for the table, but he got some playing in. He enjoyed running throughout the building too!

Grandpa and I having a race...

There were lots of buttons we could press throughout the displays also. It was fun to see what they did!

After the train show, we had to do some work. Sam and I helped Grandma dig the last of the carrots. Usually I am not one to be big on manual labor, but I really enjoyed this and stuck through the whole process!

Jumping on the pitchfork was the best part!

Sam found one!

Love Sam's expression in this picture!

Sam showing Uncle Jay his carrot for a picture. Sam now calls Uncle Jay "Unc". It is really cute!

Sam carried the bowl of carrots halfway down the hill.

The "hand-off"...

Uncle Jay holding Sam to look at the "bahs". Sam continues to call horses "bahs". No amount of convincing can make him believe they say neigh!

On the way home, I fell asleep for the last 10 minutes and Sam woke up. He discovered that the Kindle was there and it had been left on a Thomas game so he entertained himself the rest of the way home.

Sunday we got to pick pears and apples at Mommy's friend from work's house. We weren't big fans of all of the fruit on the ground (it was a little hard to walk, especially for Sam), but we got some yummy fruit and we really enjoyed meeting the dog, a Yorkie named Sugar :)

Sam picked a couple...

I really liked going on the ladder to pick some! Daddy ended up doing most of the picking while Mommy and us boys stood around and talked. Thanks Daddy!

This Friday is our annual trip to the Dells. We can't wait!!
