We have had a great weekend so far! Friday was Grandpa Rikli's birthday (#60) so we got to stay overnight with him and Grandma on Thursday night (first time ever away from Mom and Dad for Sam). Sam went back home on Friday at lunchtime to nap and see Daddy (he missed Daddy since he is such a Daddy's boy) and then Mom, Dad and Sam came to G&G's for cake and ice cream.

Giving Grandpa his b-day hug!

Silly boys...

We had to help blow out the candles since there were so many!

Playing outside...G&G have bags of pea gravel that Sam is supposed to be dumping. Grandpa isn't very impressed by his productivity though. He is averaging about a bag a month, but he does have a lot of fun playing with it!

Hmm, his low productivity could be based on the fact that he takes a lot of breaks!

Sneaking up on Daddy!

Saturday morning we went to the Mackenzie nature center before it got too hot. We were pretty much the only people there and got to see quite a few animals.

Sam really liked this owl. It was little and it was talking to us (upper right corner of the cage).

Check out our wing spans. I was very happy that mine matched the blue one!

Sam didn't quite understand the directions!

Saturday afternoon, Mommy and I went to the Flags of Freedom parade. We haven't gone to this one before because it is at 2pm so it is nap time. Sam stayed home and napped, and Mommy and I enjoyed ourselves. We realized as it was starting that we were on the wrong side of the street (along with a lot of other people) since Main Street is a divided street. Since it was just the 2 of us, we picked up our blanket and ran across the street. I had a great spot and got lots of candy. It was a great parade with lots of marching bands.

Acting silly...

These got out of order, but this was at the beginning of the Mackenzie center trail with Smokey the bear.

This was as close as Sam would get!

4K Graduation

Last week was my 4k graduation. I'm not a big fan of being up in front of people and singing so I made some funny faces during the songs and didn't participate a whole lot.

Here I am getting my diploma....

Here I am with my teachers. Mrs Herron is on the left and Ms Bottomley on the right. They were awesome teachers! It was a pretty rainy day but it let up long enough for us to go to the park.

Sam loved the digger as usual.

I had my first day of Tot Lot last week. While I was gone Sam got to fulfill one of his dreams...riding on a lawnmower! He was very serious and pointing where Grandpa should go.

Grandma H got some pictures of me playing with Matthew and Allie. Matthew and I were having a serious conversation!

Farmin' On the Square and More Fun!

Summer has officially started for me! This post is going to be all stuff before school ended, and my school graduation will be a separate post because Mommy has to get the pictures from G&G Hyland's camera.

Mommy was cleaning out downstairs for the garage sale, and I found somethings I had forgotten about!

Saturday, the 7th was Farmin' on the Square in Monroe. It was GREAT! They had a train ride (below), a tractor parade, a pony ride, balloon animals and a show by Farmer Jason from PBS!

It was too funny, this train round was filled with ALL boys!

Sam watching the tractors go by!

Sitting down to see the tractor parade...

I got to feed some goats!

This was one of Sam's favorite parts. Driving the little tractor (big for him!)

I did the pony ride...Sam refused.

Watching Farmer Jason...

We were out on the porch last weekend, and it was a little chilly. Sam and I were fine with that though! It just meant cuddling on the hammock and bringing blankets out!

We did our first picnic of the year last Sunday. It was actually a little chilly under the shelter so...

Sam and Daddy went out in the sun to eat their dessert :)

We tried a new park in Marshall. They had a cool looking playset!

Sunday night Daddy took me fishing. Mommy and Sam played at the park there and took a walk so they snuck some pictures of us!

Mommy, Sam and I went to the mall the other weekend, and took a little break to each ride on a little ride there.

My new favorite game is basketball! I love trying new "moves" and we usually play Daddy and me vs. Mommy and Sam. Unfortunately Sam seems to spend his time in the sandbox while we play so it is really me and Daddy vs Mommy.

Sam loves to do flying dunks!
