Brunch with Santa, Grandpa's Birthday and Sledding!

This past weekend, we had a busy day on Saturday. It was the annual Brunch with Santa at St. Victor's! Here I am waiting for brunch. It was yummy!

Sam was a little unsure of everything at first (hence the Nuk). By the time he got to the games though, Mommy was wishing he were a little more unsure!

Santa is walking through the room! Not sure what to think.

Love my face in this one. Santa, Mrs Claus and the elves were all walking right by me!

After eating, it was time for the games. I LOVE this part!

Sam really got into the games. Mommy was exhausted chasing him around. He loved this basketball game, and his form looks great, but he never even came close to hitting the basket :)

When we got back to G&G's it was time to celebrate Grandpa's birthday. Sam and I had to help with the cake. Sam is always the first to get there! He won't miss out on any food prep.

Singing to Grandpa. Sam was into the first part of the song, but then he decided the candles needed to be blown out before the song was officially over :)

Grandpa always lets me "help" open presents. I had to share that duty a bit more with Sam this year, but I dealt ok with that.

This was a funny card!

After birthday celebration, we had to take our first try at sledding for the season. There wasn't really much snow on the ground, but the sleds went the best they ever have for us. I had so much fun! Sam did too. When he got to the bottom of the hill, he would look at Grandma and say "mo".

Both of us were a little lazy climbing the hill. Sam wanted to be carried, and I wanted to leave the sled at the bottom of the hill and have someone else go get it. Mommy said Sam and I have to work on our sledding skills a bit!

Uncle Jay was awesome as usual. He pushed us down the hill and pulled us down the hill...even though he didn't even have any boots on.

Mommy, Sam and ME on the sled. This was a tight ride!

What a fun day! Sunday, I went to Sunday School, and then G&G Rikli came over for supper. It was a GREAT weekend!

We've had some fun events that last week and a half! First up was movie night at my school on Friday. Sam wasn't too interested in watching the movie so he looked at pictures on the camera for awhile. Then he showed the camera to the Grandma sitting next to Daddy. She made a comment, to which Sam replied "cow poop". We're not sure why that is his go-to phrase. We don't say it (or see it), but he must think it means something else!

Saturday was Mommy's work Chuck E Cheese party. Sam and I had a GREAT time. Sam rode Bob the Builder at least 10 times. He did 9 in a row before he would get off and do something else. Thank goodness no other kids were wanting to go on that one!

Singing a song with Chuck E! I am usually scared to death of mascots, but I really liked Chuck E and waved to him several times. This was about as close as I got to him though!

Saturday night, Mommy and I went to church for the Children's program. I had told her that I didn't want to go up front, and since I had a meltdown 2 years ago when she tried to get me to participate, Mommy said we would just watch. Well, then I saw my class walking by and had to join them! I just had Mommy to watch, and I participated a little bit. I stood still and didn't talk though so Mommy was relieved :)  This is in our new church sanctuary. Mommy didn't get the lighting for the camera figured out very well so these aren't the best pictures.

Sunday, we went to Rocky Rococo's for an NMB movie and pizza party. We had fun there. Again, Sam wasn't very interested in the movie though. It snowed quite a bit on Sunday so when we came home Mommy and I went out to shovel while Sam napped. When Sam woke up, we had hot chocolate. I got to play with Allie and Matthew outside so I was cold! Sam went outside to shovel after supper and Mommy had to carry him inside. He was having too much fun!

Lots To Be Thankful For!

Sam and I have had a great long weekend! I had 5 home days, which made me happy even though I do really like school. (we talk about home days and school days and keep track of the weeks like that).

Sam and I were being silly when Mommy and Daddy were cleaning out my room. We won't fit in this box together for much longer!

Mommy also told me to share some words that Sam is saying since he has funny ways of saying a few things...

Menck-blanket (he is starting to say blank now)
Poco- computer
He shortens words by saying the first or last part of the word. Mitt is mitten, etc.
He loves saying Taco Bell (or anything with the word Bell in it) and most recently, Santa Clause (he puts a pause between the two words).

I also have quite the vocabulary. The other day we were waiting in line somewhere, and I said to Mommy, "Awkward".

Sam loves posing with his hands on his cheeks.

Ready to go to the library in Monroe's Christmas party!

We went to the annual Monroe Library party and made some crafts, had some snacks, played and listened to a story. I have a great time every year! Sam enjoyed himself too. He wouldn't listen to the story (odd since he loves stories at home, but will not sit in any storytime unless it is a puppet show).

While we were waiting for the story, we played with these fun blocks. I LOVED them!

Sam and I are still best friends. We love to sit in small spaces together :)

Every time Mommy gets out the vacuum cleaner, Sam runs to get his too.

I had a procedure on Wednesday before Thanksgiving on my teeth. I was a model patient, and Mommy and Daddy said I enjoyed it a little too much. It's not very often I get both Mommy and Daddy to myself, and LOTS of attention from nurses and doctors too!

Happy to be in the bed with my blanket and bear AND they gave me a new blanket and bear too!

This is a typical face for me!

They gave me a drug so I wouldn't remember all that happened. I was TOTALLY out of it!

Afterwards, I got a popsicle! I was really hungry and thirsty because I went from 10:30pm to 3pm the next day before I got to eat. I never asked for food or complained though. Now if this had been Sam, we would have been in TROUBLE!

We had a great Thanksgiving with both sets of Grandparents coming to our house. We didn't get any pictures though :(

Friday, we went with G&G Hyland to The Children's Museum and then to ride the Holiday Trolley that they have downtown.

Sam really liked the Rocket!

Painting on the windows!

This was my favorite part. Being on TV!

I also really liked making pizza and pie and baking them in the pizza oven.

Sam really liked this area too, of course. He almost wasn't tall enough for the table though!

Sam would have stayed in this car for much longer! He threw a fit when Mommy made him get out so another kid could try it.

Sam really liked this bunny puppet too. Another fit was had when we had to put this back...

Standing by Mommy's favorite...the penguin!

Waiting "patiently" for the trolley (I am not used to winter weather yet).

We both really enjoyed riding the trolley.

When the seat across from us opened up, Sam had to sit by himself.

We had a great weekend!
