Summer 2017!

Summer is off to a great start!

I got to take a long weekend and meet up with Kate in Portland, OR. I had never been there so it was fun to visit a new place and great to see Kate! My favorite part was visiting the waterfalls. It was beautiful!

Sam graduated 4K. He had such a good year and grew so much, both physically and academically :)

Here he is with his teachers, Mrs Campbell and Mrs Wenzl. They are amazing!!

Joey had his end of school year picnic. I didn't get many pictures. This was right at the end after they were all sweaty from playing on the inflatables, playing on the playground, doing the games and getting cotton candy! Joey had a great time playing with his friends.

Joey started a new business! It's called "Joey's Lounge". You come there to relax and it costs $.05, with the rates intending to go up to $.25. He did a ribbon cutting and everything as part of it.

We made it to Strawberry Fest again this year. As always, Mr Peanut and the Wienermobile were there. Fun time!

Joey walked back to the car with his new stuffed animal on his head. What a goof!

Time for Grandparent Camp!!! We had a great time again this year! There was a new game at camp called Gaga ball, and Sam was OBSESSED. He wanted to play it almost every moment that we weren't doing a structured activity.

Joey and Sam both participated in worship again this year.

It was only in the low 70's when we were there, but the boys still went swimming both days. Grandma and I chickened out though!

Sam really enjoyed digging holes this year.

Gaga ball!!

"Patiently" waiting to go to archery.

We got to go on a wagon ride this year and see more of the camp. That was fun!

Sam was exhausted!

Grandpa's birthday...

Joey picked out a princess card for Grandpa. He (Joey) thought it was HILARIOUS!

The first concert in the park of the summer!

We got a bigger pool this year since the boys have both taken off with their swimming skills. Sam had to help John set it up...

Joey did Camp in the community at our church. Jess Shaker was the leader of it which was awesome! It was the week of July 4th so they didn't get a lot of kids, but Joey had a blast!

Joey got to jump off the diving boards the last day of swim lessons. He had fun doing some goofy jumps.

Playing first in, last in...

Fireman's park got a new swing that the boys got to try out. Too bad they didn't have this one a few years ago...Sam is a little big for the baby swing part now!

Lots to post

We have had a fun couple of months and need to catch up!

We went to Eugsters for the Lambing/Kidding days again this year. The boys had a great time holding the little goats.

Xavier who visits across the street came over and played during his Spring Break. They loved playing football with John.

Look at the handsome boys all dressed up for Easter!

The 3 kids sat very nicely for pictures this year. Maebel had just woken up and was a little confused, but she smiled a lot!

Maebel and Joey were doing some great dance moves!

We dyed Easter eggs. Usually this is a very fast process, but this year the boys took their time.

Apparently I got the boys Peeps for the first time this year (I think their memory is faulty!). They had to take a picture.

On Earth Day, we went to some public park land and picked up garbage.

We got a root beer float afterwards, and they had the bear there.

Joey had his annual Wildcat Run at school. He did a great job! Sam, John and I handed out water. Sam loved the job of filling the cups and was yelling encouraging words to the runners and telling them to keep running. He is SO excited to do it next year. He told the director at his current school that he is going to run 700 laps :)

Joey and Cohen being silly...

We went to the park with Maebel. She didn't really need the help, but Joey was happy to give it to her!

We did a bunch of chores outside one day, and Sam decided to wash the car. He set up his booster chair on the side of the driveway and had his little frog sitting there to watch him (until the wind blew him off).

We got to meet Linus!! He was a little sad at first (I love Joey's expression), but then he went to sleep. The boys loved holding him (especially Joey).

All the boys...

Sam is really enjoying playing with Maebel now...

We went to Summit Fest again this year! There was at least a 30 degree difference in temperature this year compared to last year!

They got to hold a baby chick and baby bunny...

Face painting. Joey got a shark, and Sam chose a butterfly.

Joey had his crossover ceremony for Scouts..he officially obtained his Wolf status and we're on to Bear next year.

They got to go bowling after the ceremony. Sam would roll his ball down and it would go so slowly, he would sit down to wait for it to get to the end :)

Sam decided to do dishes one night, and dumped about half a bottle of dish soap in the sink while I was switching the laundry downstairs.

Off to the park...Clifford got to ride shotgun!

Next post will be the end of the school year!
