2018- Off to a good start!

I haven't gotten a whole lot of pictures during the start to 2018, but here's what we've got!

Our library has Family Lego Time once a month on Saturday. Sam especially loves going, and we had kind of forgotten about it and ended up at the library by accident on the day of one. Sam was ecstatic!

Sam used some of his money to buy a wallet. He was so happy with his purchase. It has a little bear on the front, but it is a men's wallet (not kids!).

The annual Hyland Christmas party. We had it at G&G's church, which worked so well for being able to spread out. Here's the kids' presents!

Maebel and Madi having some serious conversation...

I won tickets to Dinosaur Time Trek through the radio station. It was pretty neat. Definitely glad we won the tickets because it wasn't worth the $21 per ticket they were charging!

They had some great photo ops...

The boys met a baby dinosaur...

We went to the circus for the first time. We had to do a family selfie while waiting for it to start. It was a good show, and lasted a good 2 hours.

I didn't take any pictures except this one of the events, but there was some cool stuff that they did!

We went to Clown'N Around again this year even though we didn't have any kiddos in the program. Maebel and Linus came too.

Sam caught up with his old buddy, Kona!

Linus is the happiest baby ever!

It was chilly, but nice so we had to go outside. Since Linus uses the carseat cover, he didn't have a coat so blanket to the rescue! The boys kept walking by him and saying how cute he looked.

Joey decided he wanted to teach my Sunday School class one week. Here he is practicing reading the story. Later this morning he gets to do the real thing!

Merry Christmas 2017 and Happy New Year 2018!

We had a wonderful Christmas again this year! So fun to have another baby this year with Linus joining. Sam was SO excited for everything, as you can see from the picture below.

Sam got a little chilly/goofy and John got an outdoor blanket for one of his presents so Sam decided to hide under there and open a present.

Linus went for all the bows!

I got this Rudolph light up sweater for ugly sweater day at work. I came home with it, and Joey loved it and asked if we could go back and get one for him so we decided to be twins for Christmas.

The Annual Chair Picture!

Sam made these antlers in Kindergarten for his holiday party. I missed getting a picture at school so he wore them to Christmas!

Next up was G&G Rikli's Christmas.

They got these funny masks for the boys. Joey was digging them!

Can you see Sam the Monkey peeking out?

The boys got inflatable deer and turkey with nerf/suction darts to practice their hunting skills.

Then it was time to go home and see if Santa came! He did so we were able to have a fire in the fireplace then.

Sam under a blanket again (there was a theme this year!).

Joey was so excited for his new pair of shoes...just like Dad's!

New Lego set...

The Christmas Stormtrooper came to visit.

Sam is loving all the boxes in the house. He kept going inside the vacuum cleaner box and walking around. It looked hilarious!

Joey and I went to a UW basketball game. We had so much fun! The game didn't start until 8pm so I thought we would end up leaving early, but Joey was loving the game so we stayed for the whole thing. The Badgers won pretty easily so that was fun to see.

Here was our view...

The boys went to Flick and Float at the high school. It was such a cold day that Sam didn't swim much because he still isn't great with cold water, but he had fun playing with these ducks. Joey played basketball and went off the diving board.

We celebrated New Year's by going to Pump It Up for a party just like we did last year. This year they had a DJ which was fun. He did some contests for the kids, and Sam won the Jump Around song. He was very happy with his jumping skills!

Hard to see, but Joey is coming down the slide...
