Picture Overload!

It's been a long time between posts so that means there are a lot of pictures to catch up on!

Hard to believe we are back to school, and I still have some school pictures from last year. Sam and Joey both got the "Math Wizard" award the same month at school. It was great getting to go and see both at the same time!

The boys did Tri-Star basketball in Sun Prairie. Joey won for his age group (he was the only 10 year old boy, but he did well too!). There were a lot of 7 year olds so Sam didn't place, but he tried hard.

Sam was determined to ride his bike on two wheels, and once he decided that, he did it! It only took about 20 minutes for him to get the hang of it without holding onto him.

Joey went to the state Tri-Star basketball. He didn't place, but he seemed to have a good time experiencing it (and getting to go on a road trip with Mom and G&G Hyland on his own).

Lambing and kidding days at Eugster's was fun again. The boys got some cuddly goats.

Easter morning, looking for baskets. It was a chilly day to start out!

We had an outdoor hunt at G&G Hyland's. Jay and Amanda hid a bunch of eggs. The kids had a blast! It was perfect because there were older kid eggs and younger kid eggs :)

Had to get a picture of Linus in his Elmo hat...

Hard to believe Linus is two already!

The boys had their Fun run. Here is Sam's class..

Sam with his teacher, Ms. Glanzer. She was wonderful!!

Joey's class...with Ms. Lord. She was a great teacher too!

The boys moved up in Scouts. Sam is a Wolf, and Joey is an Arrow of Light...

We went on a campout with Scouts to Governor Dodge State Park. We had a great time. It rained on our hike, but since we were in the woods we didn't even notice that much. Other than that the weather was perfect. The gnats were really annoying, but there were no mosquitoes so we'll take the gnats!

Raingutter Regatta. Joey wasn't too thrilled with this and didn't spend a lot of time working on his boat. Of course he ended up being in the top four for fastest boats and had to race in the finals after he had dismantled his boat. He didn't do well in the finals since it was thrown back together.

Hike to a waterfall!

The ceremony for getting their new neckerchiefs.

Zonked out on the way home...

I went to San Diego for a work conference and they had an immersive event as their social.

The statue in the back of this picture is a real person. It was amazing!

They had people with fire rings, acrobatics and lots of authentic food.

Celebrating Father's Day with Grandpa Hyland...

Sam being silly at the library fitting into the puppet stage.

We were back at Grandparent Camp again this year. A fun time again!

Gaga balls was still one of the favorite activities...

The Gaga pit was so dusty this year. The boys were showing off their dust from head to toe..

They had new hammocks this year!

Sam had a great time hanging out with Sam. They were two peas in a pod...

We all got on the paddle boat...

Grandpa Rikli's birthday. We had to get a silly card as always!

We put the pool up again. We used it a lot at the beginning of the season and then not much at all toward the end. August was a cooler month unfortunately!

We went to Noah's Ark on a really hot Saturday. It was crazy busy, but we went on a couple rides right when it opened and spaced out wave pools so it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Joey is in this picture somewhere waiting for the water to dump right on him.

HuHot Mongolian Grill opened in Sun Prairie. It was so funny because neither boy can say Mongolian, and it is hilarious to hear them try. We had to get smores there. The boys both liked the food too so it was a win win.

We did a NED (no electronics day) day for each boy this summer that everyone participated in and each boy had one day to pick what we did and had a budget of $50 (for food and activities). Sam picked Play N Wisconsin, then lunch at Taco Bell and then swimming at the Aquatic Center and playing outside at home. He loved his NED day.

Uncle John and Aunt Sharyn had a pool party at their house. Of course it had to be a cool day when it had been so hot up until then. They cranked the pool up to 90 degrees and had a hot tub too so the kids didn't care at all. They were in the pool for hours. It was a great time!

We took our bikes to a bike path in Cambridge and rode about 6 miles. It went well overall!

We went to Taste of Sun Prairie with G&G and all!

Maebel and Linus loved Fireman's Park just like Joey and Sam.

Grandma Rikli's birthday...

We had a water balloon fight. We had over 200 balloons. It was an epic fight.

We made our trip to Little Americka and had fun as always.

Next up is our South Dakota trip!
