The start to Halloween!

I had a great weekend! First, Mommy bought us our annual matching pajamas. She keeps saying that this is the last year but, but I don't believe her anymore. 

 

Uncle Jay and Aunt Amanda got us Halloween cards. We were both excited to open them.

Saturday I had a Halloween party at the Fire Station with a friend from school. I dressed as Wolverine, so Mommy had to get some pictures of me in action. Sam photo-bombed my pictures :)

At the party, they had a bounce house and we got to ride on a fire truck.

Here I am sitting in the seat. I was VERY excited to get to go on a ride. It was a great party!

Mommy took a picture of us leaving the station. She said it must have been loud in there with all of those kids!

Sunday, I woke up with a little fever and cold so I laid low most of the morning, and I didn't go to Sunday School so that I didn't get the other kids sick. Mommy just couldn't deny me the chance to go on the pumpkin train though. We went 3 years ago, and then they didn't do it for a year or two so this was new to me again. It was a beautiful day for it...a little windy in some spots, but you couldn't ask for better in late October. Grandma Rikli came with us like she did 3 years ago, so that was fun!

Sam held Mommy's hand on the way out to get the pumpkins. On the way back, he was way too busy looking at everything plus he was a pro now!

Sunday afternoon, we went to trunk or treat at our church. As we were leaving, Sam fell down the garage stairs and had a nice fat lip. We got him all calmed down though and left.

Sam was hesitant at first, but once he realized how it worked, he would take his "treat" and then try to go back up to the person. He got into it!

We got to decorate little pumpkins too and have hot chocolate. Sam was very serious about decorating his pumpkin.

It was a great weekend, but on Monday I woke up with a fever again and bad cough. I stayed home from school and hopefully am recovering! I want to go to school on Tuesday, and if I feel better I get to start gymnastics at the Y tonight!

Weekend full of apple orchards!

It's Fall! Sam and I got to go to 3 apple orchards this past weekend! First up was our annual trip to Edward's with the Hyland family. We had a blast like we always do! 

The weather was kind of chilly but not the coldest we've had when we've gone there. 

Sam didn't think it was cold at all. He wouldn't keep his hood up pretty much the whole time!

I took Sam's hand to show him where to go. Sam doesn't let me do that very often!

I loved when people rang the bell, and then I ran away covering my ears because it was LOUD!

This was my favorite part! Great Aunt Chris bought us kids a pony ride. I smiled and talked the whole time.

We're not sure if Sam is getting another back tooth. He chewed on his jacket all day!

I hadn't tried walking across the tires before. I did pretty well.

We had to visit the animals. They had some gray pigs!

I needed a rest break so Sam pushed me in his stroller. It actually helped everyone because Sam made Grandma walk miles pushing around the empty stroller. I was heavier and he couldn't push it as far!

Sunday, we went to Oakwood Fruit Farm, and on the way back, Sam was not doing well in the car. He had slept on the way there so he was sick of being in his car seat. We stopped at Peck's market on the way home, and they had a lot for us kids to do!

Sam LOVED this tractor made out of hay bales.

Sunday was a little chilly too, but again not bad. We stayed at Peck's till it started to rain a little and headed home!

Mommy and I rode the train while Sam played with Daddy in the toddler area that had some cars to ride on. We were both happy. What a great weekend! Sam took a 3 1/2 hour nap on Monday to catch up!
