Cheese Days 2014!

Sam and I got to go to Cheese Days this year on Sunday for the parade and to walk around a bit. We loved the shirts G&G Hyland got us. They had a little cow on the front and the tail on the back.

When we got to the square, we met up with Chris Mouse from Colony Brands!

Next up was the parade. It was a long parade, but we both really enjoyed it! Sam kept creeping further into the road, and we would have to call him back. He liked being able to look down the street to see what was coming!

We loved all the mascots we got to see and give high fives to!

The weather was overall good. There were a few rain clouds that passed over during the parade, but it would just rain for a few minutes and then pass by.

After the parade, we got to go down and do some rides. Thankfully, we both did stuff that we really liked! Sam was just smiling the whole time he was riding these cars.

I got to ride on the roller coaster with Grandma. This was my first roller coaster type ride, and I had a great time!

Sam picked the train for his 2nd ride. He liked this one too!

As we were headed back to the car, we ran into Baby John! Mommy hadn't met him yet (he's the son of the "little" girl Mommy used to babysit). We really liked baby John, and he seemed to like looking at us too!

Sam was loving to give him kisses and pat his face.

Hard to get a picture with all of them looking!

We had a great time at Cheese Days! For the next one, we'll be almost 8 and almost 5!

Lego Club, Truck Show and Praying Mantis?

Last week Mommy signed me up for Lego Club at the library. It is a once a month program that you have to sign up for every month and always fills up. I got in, and got to have fun creating with Legos! I saw Grady and Babette there so it was fun to see some people I knew!

Last Saturday, we all went to a truck show at Warner Park in Madison. They had all kinds of trucks and vehicles that you could sit in and pretend to drive. Sam and I both enjoyed it. Here we are getting into the front loader.

Here I am driving a dump truck...

Sam was way up high in this one!

All four of us got to go sit in this police vehicle (not sure if it is called a SWAT vehicle or what it is called!)

I loved driving the Metro buss...mostly because I could honk the horn!

Sunday we celebrated Mommy's birthday at G&G Hyland's house. When we were playing outside, I spotted a praying mantis. It was pretty cool to see!

It was time to dig carrots again this year. Sam LOVED getting to step on the pitchfork and get the carrots out. I stuck with it for quite awhile, but Sam lasted the whole time!

This weekend is CHEESE DAYS! Can't wait...

Randomness!

Mommy was downloading the pictures from her cell phone and came across some that she forgot to post!

Mommy set up a truck wash for Sam outside while she was setting up our pool (this was a month ago!)

We really liked the pool again this year! Mommy should have set it up earlier than August, but we just didn't have any real warm stretch this year.

We made our first trip to the apple orchard (Lapacek's). Sam and I both loved the kittens. There were TONS of them.

Daddy's been working on fixing the window well around our playroom window. He was scooping the dirt back into the well, and Sam HAD to help. He actually stuck with it pretty well too.

Mommy and Daddy got to do their annual bike ride this year again thanks to G&G Hyland! They biked about 10 miles which for the one day they go out and ride was pretty good!

Daddy and Sam came to take Mommy to lunch while I was at school. This was how Sam entertained himself when he was done eating. He paid good attention to Mommy saying the stickers could only go on people though and not on the restaurant stuff!

Next up are pictures from our fun week. I had Lego Club, Sam and I got to see some big trucks, and we celebrated Mommy's birthday!

First Day of School!

I had my first day of Kindergarten on Tuesday, September 2nd. Sam started his Preschool that same day! Mommy had to wake us both up, but we both got up quickly and in good moods.

First up was breakfast. I requested waffles!

We got all ready and Mommy took some pictures in front of the door.

We had to show off our backpacks :)

I came outside and Matthew and Allie were ready for school too! Mommy couldn't get a picture with all of us looking at the camera.

When we got to my classroom, Sam loved this little table and chairs. He asked if he could take a chair home with him!

Walking back home after dropping Joey off. Sam walked the whole way.

Then it was time for Sam to go to school. Despite the picture below, he actually did really well. He cried at dropoff, but the teacher said he did excellent! He told Daddy that he wants to go back.
I had a great day too (it was just a half day). Matthew and Allie's Mommy picked me up at school since Daddy had to get Sam at the same time, and she said all of us had big smiles on our faces and we all jabbered the whole walk home. I played with them all afternoon too! What a great day!
